Knit Blanket--Erika's Afghan

I’ve known Erika since she was just eleven years old.  She has grown into an amazing and talented young woman.  Recently, she got married and I wanted to make her a special gift.  This afghan was designed with her mind.  The stitch pattern is textured and reversible so you never have to worry about it facing the wrong way out, and it instantly adds a touch of hominess to any room.  The bulky yarn adds to that comfortable feel.  It’s just the right thing to snuggle under with someone special; a perfect gift for newlyweds!

Knit Picks Mighty Stitch Super Bulky (100 g, 44 yds, 20% Superwash Wool/80 % Acrylic), super bulky yarn [CYCA 6], 29 skeins Cream
US size 15 [10 mm] 36” [91 cm] circular needle

Gauge:
8 sts and 12 rows = 4” [10 cm] in Simple Chevron Pattern.
